Nicely finished with no strange smell when I opened it. The slope is gentle enough for my little dog to use comfortably, and the bottom stays in place pretty well. It fits right beside the sofa without taking up much room, which is exactly what I needed.

The plaid pattern looks really nice, and the bottom has a good non-slip grip. My dog has always been hesitant about jumping off the bed, so I got these steps to make things easier. He was unsure at first, but after a little practice he started using them on his own.

The steps have a nice amount of bounce without feeling too soft. My dog got used to them pretty quickly and can go up and down comfortably. The three-step height works well next to our furniture.
